Lampard was looking for the penalty, as always, good on Foy not falling for it.

cmonurz ^Yep.

I don't think the Bosingwa red card was a bad decision either. Terry was ambling back in the middle, but SWP would have been in and shooting on goal.

Just don't think it was much of a foul, really.

frimmers3 despite having nearly the fist team sidelined by injury, the spuds collect another three points. they may(or may not) make a serious challenge this season,

Agreed. They've got every chance of holding on for 5th.

I'd agree it wasn't much of a foul, but once you've made the decision it's a foul, it pretty much has to be a red as SWP's next kick is a shot. I'm leaning towards a soft foul, but still a foul.

Think the ref got all the ones he gave spot on... But hilariously Chelsea should really have had about three penalties, if all of them were a bit soft or off the ball.

I know what you mean, Ian. And logically, you're right, but getting sent off for that is just bullshit(/hilarious in this case).

Why thank you Bandini. For once we are totally in agreement. What a nice feeling. :)

I was commentating on that game - couldn't put into words how much of a fail that was. Everton didn't deserve to win by two though.

Ruiz's finish was quality, but apart from that I can see why Fulham are struggling. Everton are going to go on their standard climb up the table now I feel.

The pen was definitely a pen and no matter how much Ray Wilkins said it I really couldn't see any evidence of Bosingwa's shirt getting pulled for his red, as for Drogba even Fwank knew it was a shocker

Tackling is rubbish, but that's a decent impression of a sun lounger.

Pen - Helguson made a lot of it but it was a penalty. Luiz just doesn't really look up to CB on the evidence of yesterday, poor positioning for the pen and the...

1st red - yes Ray, it WAS a race, but it was a race SWP was winning, he was goal side of Bosingwa and would have been in as Terry didn't look like getting there. The most dubious decision of the 3 but at least a yellow. I think the red was the right decision though.

2nd red - two footed challenge, modern game... etc.

But 'greed with all the QPR panic mode stuff, they pretty much did a Reading and had no idea whether to attack, defend, or anywhere in between.

Schards#2 Tredds, I've no doubt you will label this post "bitter" but I have to say, QPR managed the near impossible today in making want Chelsea to get a result.

It really has become an obnoxious club from top to bottom, from Warnock (say no more), to the cheat Kenny, the animal Barton, the tosspot Taraabt, to the other players diving all over the shop, to the collectively repulsive fans. Did you see that scumbag who instead of returning the ball to Ivanovic, hurled it 50 yards down the side of the pitch and gave a w**ker gesture right in Ivanovic's face. This with 10m minutes to go against 9 men and with Ivanovic having been involved in nothing contentious all day. What a tool.

It would be nice to think that the new owner may give the club a better ethos but while Warnock's their, I doubt it. He spreads his poison throughout every club he manages.

Agreed with all of that as well. I know everyone hates Chelsea I do as well as much as the next person (although i like their new manager) but if that had been Reading on the end of some of those decisions then I can only imagine the outcry. There was a massive thread having a go at Dowd after the playoff final when to be honest he got both pens right that day.

Treds just calling it as i saw it mate, no agendas and while I agree completely Chelsea partly were their own worst enemies Drogba/Anelka's miss I thought they got nothing from the official all game. On what I've seen of your QPR I really think you're a poor side at that level. Don't ever look like scoring a goal, SWP isn't the player he was a few years ago, you've still got too many Championship plodders in that side and although your lot won yesterday Chelsea's 9 were by far the better side and their effort 2nd half was to be commended.

I think Chelsea need to look at their centre half because for me Alex is far more consistant than Luiz who reminds me a bit of Bikey. Fans will love him for some of the crazy runs and skills he can do but when it comes to defending it's a secondary thought. Also a slight blessing in disguise that Bosingwa is banned as while he's quicker than Ivanovic I've always thought Ivanovic to be the more steady performer of the two.

This goes back to my point a couple of weeks ago, players can't tackle anymore. The technique and art of tackling has been lost somewhere down the line.
