TheMaraudingDog It makes them JCLs and a JCL isn't a loyal fan.
In footballing terms London is not a neighbour.
Erm, yes it did. But i wouldnt expect a JCL to understand that.
What's a JCL?

Croydon Royal +1 for the "only support Reading but have soft spots for other teams" view. For various reasons there's a few teams whose scores I always look out for (or even would go to watch if Reading weren't playing) such as Rochdale, Whyteleafe and Blackburn, but I wouldn't say I supported them. I'm pleased if they won and disappointed if they lost, but I don't really invest any emotion in them in the same way I do Reading.
Can't see myself doing otherwise either - but having said that my Dad, who grew up in the Valleys, would go and watch Cardiff every week until he was 21, but moved away and has now followed Reading for 30 years - including as a season ticket holder for the past 15 (since he started taking me). Now when Cardiff come to the Madejski they're the team he really wants to beat more than anyone else.

A term commonly used by English football supporters to describe the likes of you.

cmonurz On that definition I’ve never ‘supported’ anyone – goes back to my original post on this thread that it matters more what sort of football fan you are than your particularly affinity to a club. I can honestly say that a Reading defeat has never ever ruined the following week, day, or even much past the 5 minute walk to the bus or car. Football isn’t that important, is it?

TheMaraudingDog Tbf i can see why a Yank would chose Reading.
A spacker bowl
Ground named for marketing purposes
Fluctuating crowds
Rumble stix
A drummer
Half time pizza
Shite originality from fans and plenty of Der der der songs
Pants days
Ginger days
Beard days
Take ya misses days (every game)
Wear a replica days (every game)
You don't have to go and you can still fit in
Im sure there are plenty more reasons but its gone midnight and i should be in bed
Night.

Of course it doesn't matter more that you're just a football fan.
Its people like cmonurz who don't give a shite about 'their' team that are killing the wholeatmospheres in grounds.

TheMaraudingDog Not sure what's funny m8. Non passionate fans like you = no atmosphere. Pretty straight forward that.
I just hope you're not one of those that watches a game through their camera phone.
