BR2
Big Foot Fully expect Liverpool to wear t shirts supporting those who booed the national anthem before tomorrow night's game

Good one.

So do you still believe it was Luton fans booing the national anthem and not the Liverpool ones, despite them all admitting it?!

I'd never really noticed this boo'ing or singing over the national anthem before, but it seems they claim to have done it for years.

As much as I think they were harshly treated over Hilsborough, and they've obviously got a massive chip on their shoulder because of their declining economy and southerners nicking all their jobs, they're reported actions are pretty classless and won't do anything positive about the way they're perceived.

If they're so opposed to the government and rest of the country that perceive them so badly, perhaps they can oxf*rd off and stand on their own two feet without my taxes.

So why exactly do they boo the National Anthem (if indeed they do)? I can't see a reason for it.

Thought it was quite a turgid final, in keeping with most other finals. Chelsea were clearly better than Liverpool who only seemed to turn up once the game was over. Superb save from Cech.

Jay Spearing - what a shit player.

From what I gathered from the forum someone posted a link to, it's purely an anti-establishment type thing, although they didn't really give any proper reasons.

I presumed it was because of Thatcher and the royal family being at fault for everthing wrong on Merseyside as well as causing the perception of 'the Scouse nation' to be so so poor in the media and joe publics eyes.

Strangely Everton fans don't agree with it at all, and seem to regard Liverpool fans as an embarrassment to the city.
