Winston Biscuit Being said that there was a clause in Andre Silva's contract which said that if Frankfurt accepted an offer of more than €40M then Jorge Mendes would receive a €10M lump some plus 15%(ish) of the transfer fee.

With that in mind they ended up negotiating the transfer fee down with Leipzig and have agreed to accept a a bid of €23M as that is all they would have ended up taking anyway from the higher bid that Leipzig were willing to make.

Yep stupid situation but Frankfurt do seem to have a knack these days at finding very good strikers and selling on for a decent profit - shame they mucked up CL qualification again this season as they would have been able to keep Silva for at least one more year but am sure they'll unearth another star.

Hear he’ll be organising the wall in free kick situations.

In that midfield he’ll need to run like hell

Can't see Norwich staying up. He must have had a momentary lapse in reason, agreeing to go there.

Is that a symptom of long-Covid ?

Probably a sign that he’s on the Dark Side…

(As a matter of fact it’s all dark)

Chelsea fans not happy - they had high hopes for him this season and, fearing going to Norwich could be absolutely curtains for his long term career development, they are clamouring to bring the boy back home.

Meanwhile Arsenal fans are lost for words; is there anybody out there for whom it wouldn’t have been a gunner’s dream to see him in the flesh in Arteta’s new free four free formation?

Not like he's going to keep Kante or Jorginho out of the starting line up at Chelsea is it. He needs games and he'll get that at Norwich and its not like they're a hoof it forward bypassing the midfield team. There's a lot worse places he could be and those Chelsea fans may just be getting a bit carried away based on one decent game against England and even in that I thought he struggled for quite a lot of the first half.
