Avram Grant & Tal Ben Haim not available for West Ham's game at the weekend as they are observing Yom Kippur.

I noticed that. Although I tend to agree with the principles, are West Ham really in a position to agree to this? Upson was on the news just the other day wanting defensive stability. I didnt hear of any players being unavailable due to ramadam recently

Clubs just accomodate their training around the players fasting, it is very common practice at top football clubs.

What does Avram Grant's religion think of paying for sex?

I think that the tradition of paying for sex is looked upon very differently in other cultures to say the least. Just see Grant's wife reaction to it. She didn't understand the fuss.

Always remember Grant went to the wood in which pretty much his entire family and their village were murdered, with journos after the Euro Cup Final. As he said, losing a Champions League final doesn't mean anything.

Nothing but respect for the guy and he's gonna take West Ham down too. What a guy!!

It's fine if it is not on a holy day and takes place in an industrial unit in Portsmouth (and he doesn't tell his wife).

"Ramadam", huh?

To be honest, it's probably a good thing for the likes of Ribery and Mido to abstain from bodily pleasures for a month.
