Hardly. He has claimed that he doesn't want to own a football club and has chosen to sponsor the club (Bedlington Terriers) and fund some improvements; relay the pitch, donate a scoreboard from the U.S. From what I read on this yesterday, he has ties to the area and wants to give something back. Football is at the heart of the community and so he has chosen to sponsor the football club. He recognises the club can "climb the divisions" and hasn't ruled out further investment in the future.
Oh and great name too. Mr Rich.
