Grosso's goal remembered

What a game, seemed just the other day this rocket left his left foot and flew in past jens. Great, great angle too.

Very Marco Tardelli-esque on Grosso's part.

Pirlo shits on scholes then eats the shit (his own shit) then pisses on scholes with the aim of a genius right into his mouth from the top of the empire state building, because pirlo is infact a genius. Pirlo would then kick scholes' nuts and smack him 4 times and put scholes into a coma.

Pirlo > Scholes would have been more succinct, if equally incorrect.

btw Pirlo's reverse pass is so good - looks away and disguises it perfectly

Pirlo is massively underrated in this country where we think a deeper lying midfielder is there only to kick lumps out of the oppostition and not a creative playmaker. The press' response to Capello getting Wilshere to play that role for England says it all.

If a commentary ever suggested just how intense a match was from a completely neutral perspective, this is it:

Spanish commentary during selected highlights of extra time. Barely a pause for breath in the second half. I remember watching this game at Bertie's in Newquay and was so wrapped up in it, quite literally the most enthralling game I think I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing. The game was being played on pure adrenaline and emotion in extra time.
