Spurs my 2nd team

Scanadalous decision last night to disallow that goal. Shit performance and never recovered from an awful first 15 mins but should've been a draw

3rd in the league though - 2 points off 2nd with a game in hand.

Yeh - but Spurs might find themselves out of it. After all that money they've spent in the last 5 years. No CL this year and looks like failure in the Europa league.

I think it's fair Spurs couldn't give a flying one about the Europa League going by the teams they've picked in most games.

"The revolution in the blue half of Manchester can be starkly demonstrated by their activity in the transfer market, where they have massively outspent the other leading English clubs in the last five years. In fact, their net spend (purchases less sales) of £440 million is more than the combined net spend of the other five leading clubs: Chelsea £149 million, Liverpool £68 million, Manchester United £53 million, Tottenham £52 million and Arsenal (net sales) £29 million."

Exactly why you can't say they won't make the Champions League this year.

Bollocks was it! The asst behind the goal had it nailed on - the foul by Defoe. What was scandalous was the sending off of the left back. The player who should have walked was the one who went through the back of Defoe after the alleged handball. Right decision to award a pen but for the wrong reasons. Also, how many saves did the PAOK keeper have to make? Spurs have treated the EuROFLoPMSLa League as an irritant. And... were there any Spurs fans there? All I heard was a load of Greeks going all Zorba!

True. The left back never, ever should have walked. He tried to move his arm out of the way, if anything.

Ok, it wasn't quite 'scandalous', but...

I'm not saying it wasn't a foul, but as far as I can remember the ref played on only to change his mind after Spurs scored, which was quite a while after the incident. The commentators weren't sure whether the assistant had shouted for the foul or for an 'offside' from the pass through to Defoe as technically the injured player was still active. I'm not sure if this has been cleared up?

End of the day, the officials arrived at the correct decision even if it took an age. The lino did not flag and was seen heading towards the halfway line. He stopped roughly in line with the 18 yard line as he saw the referee still in the area and possibly conferring with the goal-line assistant. As for the fvckwits commentating, the less said the better. They got it wrong with the penalty and got it wrong with the disallowed goal.

The decision was a scandal......but only because Defoe should have walked for his two-footed attack on their CB. Far more of a red card than the PAOK LB who 'handled' the ball with his chest.
