Football Weekend 10-12th March

by Royal With Cheese » 10 Mar 2012 11:50

Am in the unusual position of wanting Bolton to win this afternoon.

A big LOL to Mark Hughes saying this game isn't important.

Are you actually LOLing at him saying that?

Pretty standard stuff from a manager to take a bit of pressure of his side.

QPR manager Mark Hughes, reacting to the controversial game at Reebok Stadium: "I'm really disappointed in the performance of the officials. The referee was let down by his assistants. Clearly the ball was over the line. The linesman is there to see that - that is what his job is. The linesman didn't see it.

"Laughably the FA have come out almost immediately as said they're in favour of goal-line technology.

"What we're finding is that key moments and key decisions in games are going against us. Please just give us an opportunity to play the game and show how well we can play. And do it on our own merits.

"Circumstances like today just bring us closer together. Today, it wasn't about football. We just need officials to give us a fair crack of the whip. "

Did he mention QPR's off-side goal?

why is that so amusing? they were never really in the title race. that has always been man city and man utd this season. spurs are three class players short of a title challenging side, and redknapp knows it. he's said time and time again it's all about finishing in the top four this season, and that now looks a big ask with chelsea waking up for a late go at it.
