I was quite pleased to spot out of the corner of my eye on SSN the other day that Aldershot have dropped below the dotted line in the conference

ooh hadn't noticed that. 4 points adrift with 7 games to go

Could the Hereford situation save them if they finish where they are now?

Down here the natives( who have seen their club substantially funded by a Russian!!!!!) are daring to dream about the play-offs after beating Barnsley and Leeds.
They stand 7 points below us and of course we have to go to their place shortly so they see us as the team to catch.
Their remaining fixtures include 4 games against teams in and around the play-off places as follows:-
Birmingham A
QPR H
Reading H
Yeovil A
Sheff Wed H
Ipswich A
Forest H
Millwall A
I haven't seen any betting on teams just making the play-offs but Bet365 are offering promotion odds so having already backed Reading and Wigan at decent odds I have put a very small bet on Bournemouth to be promoted at 150/1 (we are currently around 6/1).
Clearly I wouldn't want it to happen but collecting a decent wedge would help with the embarrassment if they outdid us when less than a year ago we were a Premier League side and they were in Div1.
A tale of 2 Russians?

B'mouth are 25/1 to finish top 6 with Bet Victor.

Bournemouth now just 5 points behind us and we play them in 10 days time.
They are the form side of those anywhere near the play-offs and I'm starting to get a bit nervous.
A good job we are playing them away with how we are lately at home.

Bournemouth have a decent side, good exciting forwards, and an owner throwing money at the club. Their record signing is more expensive than ours, and we've been in the Premiership three times. Give them a couple more seasons and a stadium expansion and they'll be looked at as a bigger club than us, just as Brighton now are.

Play Offs in the conf looking interesting as so many teams outside the places now have games in hand. Forest Green down in 11th still well in with a shout

Bournemouth are now 8/1.
We are 4/7 and rightly so to be that short and we will be even shorter if we don't lose on Tuesday.
