All of a sudden relegation looks quite appealing.

Looking forward to meeting you again Frimmers. You were the tall boy I chased around the Rec in 1971 were you not?

I hope we do play aldershot soon. They'll be no platics left and we'll have a top away support out as well. Putting to bed the myth we are all middle class muppets who like a prawn sammich. Expect to see a lot of old reading faces out.

When the Shots got to the 3rd Round of the FA Cup 3 years ago (correct if wrong) I was very disappointed we didn't get them, instead they drew Farnborough I believe. If this was a league fixture it would be immense. Let's all get behind Brendan as the results are encouraging so far, although he must do better to get us into the bottom three come season's end!

Many years ago, I would go down to the shite with a few mates 4 or 5 times a season for cheering up when things got bad at EP. Great place to watch football and even better to park!

indeed...the "shots(whatever guise) have never set the football world alight....in fact have never held a lucifer to blue touchpaper..but...on a cold wednesday night with the floodlights blazing incandescently framing sleet and snow the recreation ground is indeed a great place to be.a haven from the sterile stadia that form todays status quo.(i am slightly biased).

I still have nightmares of a certain Auto Windscreens Cup Tie at the Rec in 89 or 90. Martin Hicks scored a 20 yard headed own goal and I think we lost 3-0. It was the worst performance I have ever seen.

It was the day John Major got elected as Tory leader.

A dark day for the country, and for Tory voters.

It's just a shame that you live in such a troubled area that thieves have apparently stolen one end of you ground. Either that or two sides of the The Rec have swapped with Bognor Regis on a busman's holiday.
