Can anyone think of a good reason why I'd watch this nonsense on Wednesday night?

Bear in mind it's on ITV

Depends if your an England fan to be honest Silver Fox.

If you are, and you have an interest in how the team and squad may shape up, plus you like to watch football, you'll probably have more than a passing interest.

We have some holes appearing in the squad due to injuries and this is one of just 3 games left before the squad gets named and so it's a rare opportunity for some players to prove they can play alongside and fit in with those already on the plane to the World Cup.

That's a reason to watch it, even if it won't be a blood and thunder competitive game. You can always turn the sound down by the way!

You want to watch it really - you're just in denial about it at the moment.

There's nothing else on and its not like you'll manage a whole evening without telly.

Absolutely no interest in this pointless home win, and never likely to have any interest either given the tossbag coverage you get from ITV.

Nope, even less interested in other countries playing a meaningless game than I am England playing a meaningless game.

But i thought all Reading fans were Ireland fans..........or so everyone kept banging on about a year or so ago whenever England were playing.

This one isn't actually as meaningless as your making out though. With only a handful of training sessions and 3 games before the squads announced there are places up for grabs and some issues for the manager to try and solve.

Potentially it could be an interesting game.
