Will Grimsby stay up?

by Archie's penalty » 01 May 2010 17:24

Went 25 games without a win this season. Then suddenly from March they are on form - 6 wins 2 draws 4 losses and they still have a chance going into the final day.

One point behind Barnet and they have Burton to play away on the last day of the season. Barnet have Rochdale at home. On the face of it Barnet have probably the best chance as Rochdale are off form but I hope Grimsby stay up!

Barnet are a piddly little club and do not deserve league status. That is all.

Yep - a little club held together with string, free signings and the whatever minimal cartilage remains in Gary Breen's knees. I would have thought that it would be hard for anyone with a basic appreciation of English football to wish anything but the best for them.

But they have been terrible recently 1 win and 7 losses in the last eight. Quite a cool comeback if Grimsby were to stay up.

Don't worry, Archie. I'm sure that during the coming week you'll come round to my way of thinking, a fair few times. I wouldn't like to hazard a bet on who you'll end up supporting come the actual match, however :!:

my veryvery first post ever on HNA (as "Reading Rover" back in 2002) was Grimsby.......Why?

They play in Cleethorpes...I should know........I went there once

I never got an answer to my question...............

but being born in Mill Hill NW1........its a BARNET!!!! all the way from me

(not that it matters much these days................the Conf. draws biggers crowds...................and virtually all teams there are full-time anyway)

Don't like Grimsby (don't know why just irrational hatred as we always seem to lose when we play them) and don't like Barnet (crap ground that barely comes up to non league standard and are always at the bottom)....

...so Cheltenham are bound to get relegated then.
