Zola sacked

West Ham have sacked manager Gianfranco Zola after less than two years in charge at Upton Park.

Bets on Slaven Bilic being the new man

Wait for the media to suck up to him saying how great he was but never given a chance blah blah blah.

If they get Bilic I think Gold and Sullivan have made a great move.

If you wanted to hand over a very thick wedge of mone would you want Zola spending it?

His managerial record is really non-existent isn't it and he's clearly struggled to cope with the conditions at West Ham. If they can get an experienced manager, such as someone like Bilic who has been successful, I can't blame them.

They know how to run a football club. What makes you feel different?

Zola was too inexperienced for West Ham, his departure is a good thing for the club.

The wage bill is just a joke, and WHU possibly have a couple of uneasy years ahead of them as they bring it back under control, and try and bring in some clever and affordable signings.

Gold and Sullivan did a very good job at Birmingham. They run a club the right way, much like Madejski does, but with a bit more guts.

The fact they also think they know what's best for the team and that they are bigger than the club.......yes they did ok at Brum but could have done a lot more - the club could be huge and pushing for a top 6 finish each year, but instead were promoted and then relegated. They did exactly what we did and not splash the cash to make sure they become a stable Premiership side - something they are now, since Yeung took control and gave some decent transfer funds.

Zola = Top bloke. Even made the press a cuppa when they were camped outside his house this afternoon.

Just seen the footage on SSN. What a legend. Total respect to Zola. Just brilliant.

It was always on the cards he would go this season anyhow.

Apparently they sacked Zola without a payoff. This is now going to court.

Why on earth would Big Sam want to go there? Couldnt see him getting on with the two muppets in charge and by the look of the comments underneath wouldnt exactly be welcomed at West Ham anyway because he doesn't play the West Ham way, whatever the oxf*rd that is. Think they would be very naive if they employed Holloway after 1 good season. And why isnt Hughes on the list? Having said that, Gold and Sullivan don't have a bad track record in picking managers from their time at Brum.
