Am I right in saying that we received a fee for Harper, however small? Bit of a surprise he's been released.

We received a fee for his season long loan, yes. Same type of deal took Rosenior to Ipswich as well.

I'd have in back. On reduce wages obviously. But I can see both Harper and Sidwell at Bristol City next season.

Harper always said he wanted to play abroad so maybe this is his chance though he might have to be brave and try and prove himself on trial first.

Shame for Little, Blackwell's style of football didn't really allow him to show his talents.

Harper

Sc can assemble the 106 squad as much as he likes - what he'll never get from them again is one of the things that made them such a great team and that's their hunger. Now they're older, been there and done that they'll never get that back.

I'd imagine Sidwell will have the necessary hunger after 3 years of not making it in the Prem.

Little's too old for the Championship, he should look for a team lower down with the sole ambition of playing the beautiful game

Harper, Kitson are both still easily good enough for Bristol, Ingimarsson and Gunnarsson also good enough though to a much lesser extent. Sidwell is way too good for them. They won't achieve more than they have already with us there, but as part of the right squad could certainly still contribute in a push for promotion.

Blackweel's penchant for playing central players out wide didn't exactly do him many favours, however as Little stated in our conversation ( I forget some detail as it was a slightly drunken haze) on the train back from Nottingham that of the three games he'd played in recently he'd played well and set up four goals. He feels he has it in him to play at Championship standard, I think he could play at this standard regularly albeit he'll need seriously looking after. Probably too much of a risk in all fairness.

And I'm in two minds about Harper. McDermott clearly works wonders with the players, I mean he makes Kebe look like a decent player! I'd not be ecstatic if he came back, but I'd not be disappointed either...

No surprise about Blakey. He might get a game lower down but WCBAP for whoever signs him. As for Harps, I would have him back here. WCBAP too though. I am still to be convinced by Howard. Harps is a better passer and is fitter and stronger without a doubt.

Harps only looks like a better passer because it's a lot easier to pass it to the full-back than forward. Howard has a brain too.
