2010/2011 TV Football Changes...

by paultheroyal » 31 Jul 2010 22:11

Apart from loads more football back on Sky Sports including Monday Night Football, what else is new. For starters....

Ben Shepherd formerly of GMTV is to head up UEFA Champions League Coverage and present on Goals on Sunday.

Anymore?

Please tell me you are joking ?!? The bloke is a clown of the highest order. WTF has he got to do with football. The sporting media really think they are broadcasting to dumb Britain. Robbie Savage is taking over 606, the ITV pundits in general cannot string a sentence of English together, the Beeb continue with Garth Crooks and now this. Switch off.

With regards to Goals on Sunday, I noticed Ian Payne was back on Five Live last night.

Who cares who presents the shows.

Turn on as the game starts, flick over during half time, turn off at full time.

I DO !!! It should be all part of the entertainment.

Pay TV has sunk to a new low.

deffo - can't be arsed to watch a bunch of kants state the obvious before and after the games. Turn on just before KO and turn off straight after.

Fair enough, but I struggle to see what the problem with Ben Sheppard is. He's a decent presenter (who has been on crap shows) and will be working on something he's clearly passionate about.

He's only there to ask the "experts" questions after all.

For those of us who are humble Freeview viewers, as of Monday 21st August Sky Sports News will no longer be available to view. The channel will only be available to Sky and Virgin customers. Bad news.

Blessing in disguise - you'll claim back hours of your life you would otherwise have spent watching the same news story about Ashley Cole's groin strain over and over again whilst waiting in vain for them to show the goals from Reading's draw away at Coventry.

You're forgetting the most depressing TV transfer story of the summer. That James Richardson has been overlooked for MOTD2 in favour of Colin Murray

Disappointing as I've only just got Freeview 4/5 months ago but then I guess during the season its mainly Premiership/Europe and more Premiership.

Miss the Soccer Saturday stuff though.

Don't you get that every time you go to Stamford Bridge? If, of course, you do go to Stamford Bridge...
