I think it's a list of those with contracts out at the end of the season. Would love Puncheon.

Of course. Saints haven't even opened negotiations with him yet so you never know, it might be worth giving him something to think about.

Duff is still quality at times and Petric is a decent striker. I'm pretty sure El Ghanassy was just a loan

Pearce of Reading would be a good start!

Am I missing something here? How can £200,000 a week Ashley Cole feature in the same thread as the word 'bargain'!

Would love Lichaj from Villa. I think he's got lots of upside, and I love seeing Yanks in the Reading strip. I miss Hahnemann and Convey :(

You may be missing the colour coding ... blue for bargains ... but maybe not

I think I'm right in saying Cole is on around half that, but yeah, never a bargain. Likewise Diarra, Hangeland, Toure, Arshavin, and so forth.

The Man United trio will either sign for another year or retire.

Petric, Puncheon and a handful from West Brom (particularly Gera, Brunt and Popov) would be my selections, as well as Pearce. Maybe Emmerson Boyce or Chris Baird if Stephen Kelly doesn't turn out to be the right back we need.

Not sure if some of the highlighted players are serious selections- Matthew Upson? Luke Moore? I like defenders who can defend and strikers who can score thanks.

Not sure I would want any of that lot and two possibles,Gera and Alcaraz IIRC are out injured for the season.
Let's just get Curtis Davies,Creswell the left-back plus any of the many strikers and playmakers in Spanish football who are streets ahead of most of the players over here that would be in our price range.

Looked like a walking red card on the few times I've seen him in action. [edit: and yes... I get what you're doing]

I fear though if we sign a contract with him we'll have no escape.
