We've, presumably, been covering Glenn Murray's wages( or, at least, a proportion of them), so if he's not coming back why not use the money we would have paid to Murray to finance the Jones loan. He's not great but he's better than what we've got.

But I gather that Reading have put in a £2m bid for Murray and it would be good if he came back but I doubt it will happen. He still wants to fight for his place at Palace.

I don't see how we would benefit by playing Jones instead of Blackman or HRK at centre-forward. With Jones, you know you will be underwhelmed but with younger players they might improve and surprise everybody.
