Dexter® OK, lads. 1st post so go easy!
There's whispers within the corridors of power within Tynecastle, current home of Heart of Midlothian (for how much longer, who knows?), that our current coach and manager, Csaba László, has been sounded out about the incumbent Reading job.
This is not a surprise. He's propelled our club from 8th to 3rd in his 1st season with a squad made up of what I can best describe as journeymen and loanees from Lithuania. We are teetering on the brink of insolvency with debts of £40M+ with our best players being offloaded to all and sundry in a vain attempt to ease the wage burden. Back-dated wages and bonuses are still due to many players and staff and our club is in severe crisis. HMRC are also breathing down our necks. I won't go on, but could!
Rumours are rife on the Hearts fans messageboards that László is offski with Reading FC being his new destination. The Scottish Sun (who are usually spot on with their stories) have today reported a fall-out between László and our owner, Vladimir Romanov. Not surprisingly, money (or lack of) is cited as the reason for the tiff, but the story on the street in Edinburgh is that Romanov has gotten wind that Reading have been in touch.
We're not certain that László will even take his place on the bench for this weekends match against Celtic. He's seemingly been told to "go sick".
Admittedly, this is a mere rumour, but trusted folks in the know within HoMFC have collaborated this story over the last 24 hours and there seems to be more than some truth in it.
All the best.
Dexter®
