One of the divisions top scorers over the past four seasons, was outstanding at Cardiff and only injuries prevented him from shining at Leeds before this season.

Except he wasn't, he was dropped by Cardiff at the earliest opportunity and ended up fourth choice and only got playing time at Leeds because Becchio and Somma were injured and Paynter was horrific.

Reading manager Brian McDermott has enquired about Wolves winger Matt Jarvis. He will be watching Wolves final game of the season (local press) before tabling an offer.

Wolves are very keen on Reading midfielder Jay Tabb to replace the outgoing Karl Henry. Tabb carries a value of approx £1.2m and could be used as a sweetener in any deal for Jarvis.

Southampton have rejected a £5m bid for winger Adam Lallana from Premier League new boys Reading.

Reading could yet go back with an improved offer but are also looking at Wolves winger Matt Jarvis. Manager Brian McDermott will be in attendance watching Wolves on the final day and is believed to be readying a £3m offer.

I've also heard Saints have made an official approach for Leicester centre back Matt Mills, and right back Greg Halford.

I don't rate him all that highly but I can see him really playing well with a player like Chris Burke behind him.
