HoneyRoastHoax Liverpool today confirmed the signing of Philippe Coutinho

Just saying

He isn't a winger. Plays in the 'Gerrard role'.

Played on the left most of the time for Inter.

Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre said: "We're always delighted when we get the players we go after.

"It has been a successful transfer window for us, coming off the back of acquiring Daniel Sturridge from Chelsea and now Philippe from Inter Milan.

"I think that bodes well for us for the rest of the season and the future."

Sounds pretty final to me? Maybe no more coming in? Probably clutching at straws though :(

Don't think Rodgers really cares about players "natural" positions given some of the line ups and formations he's played this season

It's Nick Blackman anyway.

leicsRoyal He has always done them at lunchtime before. I think the Ince saga has played a part in him putting it back otherwise if he had held it at lunchtime it would just have been a barrage of transfer questions. At least making it so near to kick off time he may get one or two questions about the game.

This is not a new thing - he told everyone yesterday he was putting it back to 6pm.

Some will find it hard to believe but Fordham has a pretty good working relationship with the club, the club which in effect are his boss. If the club throw a Fergie and don't allow him any access or interviews, that's his job gone.
Fordham only feeds us fans the information that the club will allow him to and if the club have pulled the strings and said 'we've been a bit more vocal than we should have been on this, now we want silence on it' Fordham will do all that is needed to fall in line and not put himself in any sort of awkward position.

I might even go as far to say that the web chat time of 6pm was suggested by the club and now a coincidence that the Blackpool Manager is giving his thoughts at 6pm also.

Still, the lack of tweets today about this from Fordham is strange. Just one tweet since last night and that was 7 hours ago just saying RFC were preparing to go back with a increased bid of £8m. Maybe there is some big news and its been embargoed til 6pm so the player can be presented before tonight's game,
Clutching at straws?

:D How angry would everyone be if Blackman was our only new addition in the next two days? By the reaction - LOTS.

I would be very suprised if anything happens before tomorrow evening. Blackpool are playing it smart, they know that the bids are in for him and they also know there is a good chance of some knee jerk reactions tomorrow when further clubs join the party after failing to get other targets.

There will be riots on the streets of Whitley, the place will be completely trashed, the World Turned Upside Down will be...... How do we launch a protest in Ince's parking space if he didn't have one?

Also told Paul Ince has met with #readingfc over the past 24hours - that one looking like it will go to the wire

In other words: "oxf*rd, I really thought he'd sign. Oh well, typical Reading."

Could paint him a parking space using SJM and AZ's blood.

Not sure we need him, unless it's a coaching role?

Brian made a huge mistake by getting peoples hopes up, so if it does blow up in his face, then he only has himself to blame.

Coutinho going to Liverpool almost certainly ends their interest in Ince. The only reason I can see them bidding now is to drive the price up, which Blackpool will be more than happy with. Lets just hope we did have the boy down today for a medical and we can get it done. It sounds like a two horse race in any case.

It's kind of like the typical TV sitcom, we battle to impress Tom's father desperately seeking his approval. We'll get there eventually.

EDIT: This would not be the time for a classic McDermott "I've been watching him for 12 years now", that's where this relationship gets weird.

Reckon we're done now, I honestly cannot see a deal for Ince coming off, even if we struck a deal with Blackpool we'd have to persuade him hard given our crap league position.

Only other possible move is Sunzu which I actually think will get called off until the summer, if it happens at all.

So much for the promised Premier League experience, unless you count Stephen Kelly's 44 apps in 3 years..... mind you I think the players we have signed are certainly promising if nothing else.

Fingers crossed though that I'm completely wrong and Ince or ANO attacking option will be officially unveiled on Friday morning..
