Hate to say this but I don't really get all the fuss about whether or not someone has an inside track on potential transfers (and Jay clearly does know someone at the club) - it's not like it makes signings more likely to happen; we'll all find out about them anyway.

And the lording it over our Johnny Fordham is just sad. Yeah the guy might not be the best journalist in the world but he gives it a fair shot, and is it any surprise people will leak info to their mates before they leak it to the newspapers?

Having a flick through your website, not plugging anything here, you say that you have heard of interest in an unknown striker. You won't reveal who it is. Record transfer apparently.

With rumours of Borini and Maiga, would you care to reveal to us who it is? Or don't you trust your source enough?

Not a case of trusting a source, it's being asked not to say who yet. He's British, and he fits into the young and hungry category. You can put that together I'm sure.

For the record, I don't believe this player will come here. I'm sure he will see his first team chances as limited here, where as at A.Nother PL club he would see a lot of football early doors... But, he has been in talks with us, and he has stayed over night at the hotel during this time. But I understand he has spoken to a number of clubs.

So probably Mr Rhodes...? He'd be behind Pog & Roberts for sure, but not so sure about the other strikers we have
