Ticket Office Opening & withdrawal of Fax purchases

by 66DD » 29 Sep 2006 16:34

Sorry if it's been raised before and I'm not sure whether this should be on here or on STAR, but it seems that the club are altering Monday to Friday ticket office opening hours to 10am to 6pm (i.e. no late night) and will no longer be accepting bookings by fax.

They are making it more and more difficult to get tickets for those of us who do not live or work in Reading and don't have ready access to a phone during working hours.

Were STAR aware and what is its stance on this?

Particularly with the crap online ticketing situation i.e. can't buy away tickets it would seem they don't want fans!

The reduction in hours may well be simply that not enough people made use of 'facility' after 6pm. On the upside it should mean a larger 'window' during 'normal' hours when there'll be more staff dealing with visitors and the phones so shorter queues....

Of course the withdrawal of the late night facility means supporters have no option but to pay the full rate for the ripoff 0870 number!

Wonder whether the club will 'forget' to update the details of their charges for that 'service' .
