Thanks - but actually that doesn't help either. What road is it on?

Thanks for all the advice. the bus arrived at the Mad exactly on time, with only a small hiccup when the driver tried to take us to the brewery. Will be using it again!

Return trip was courtesy of Mrs B and the rarely spotted Curo's number 1 fan, one of their friends and the most girlie collection of CD's the world has even seen.

Was considering using this for the FA Cup match on Tuesday as I might not have my usual car share, but that scheduled arrival time does worry me. Seems odd they leave half an hour later for an evening game with all the extra traffic on the road. :? I presume it must be a heavily filled bus lane route?

Oh, and can anyone who has used this help on where that Sandhurst Yorktown Road stop is? I was thinking it may be the other side of Sandhurst to that New Inn stop down by the now closed Safeway, the name is not very specific though! Cheers.

Looking at the route it seems that the bus will do a left out of Swan Lane upto the New Inn roundabout and then do a right at the mini roundabout into Crowthorne.( Thus avoiding the Railway bridge with the sharp bend)

So assuming that to be true, the Yorktown Road stop is the one outside the parade of shops/takeaways in Sandhurst town centre, and not in College Town which is where the closed Safeway is. You could if yuo drive park your car in that parade of shops outside blockbuster etc and jump on there.

I asked the same question to Stagecoach at the time (As i live in Sandhurst) -and they didn't have a bloody clue!!

Cheers for that. I just got an email response from them too...

Please ignore the time for Yorktown Road (this seems to be a mistake), The bus comes up Swan Lane turns left in Yorktown Road to stop at the New Inn and then turns right and goes along Crowthorne Road

Interesting!

As I thought!

Theres only 70 yards between turning out of Swan Lane before doing the right towards crowthorne so no real suprise there.

Indeed, the route makes much more sense now. Still the time element that worries me with it trying to get through the traffic to Reading from Sandhurst at 6.55pm. I'll make my mind up on risking it later!

Has anyone here caught the bus from the Iron Duke before? Does it work well?
