Advice - non member-card

by 1960 » 17 Jun 2007 11:32

I don't have a season ticket, so I use my member card (and my son's) to get tickets in the south stand. I usually apply as soon as the rquirement comes down to my points total. I usually get us both in on this basis.

The thing is my brother, who lives in Portugal, is coming over for one match (Wigan, 22nd Sept if Sky don't move it) and of course he has no loyalty points at all. Is it possible to buy a third ticket for a non-member when my points total is OK or do I have to wait for the points requirement to go down to zero and risk not getting three together?

I know Wigan won't be a huge-selling fixture, but has anyone had to do this sort of thing before and how has it worked out?

Btw I always buy my tickets online or on the phone as I live 50 miles from the ground. Does that make any difference?

It's one ticket per member card so it looks like he'll have to wait until the tickets go on general sale. However, if RFC link the Wigan game to one of the "big games" then I doubt it'll even make general sale.

tail end of last season NO games went on "general sale", tickets were only sold to member card holders

Buy 3 tickets from Wigan - they won't sell their allocation

Or apply for a member card for your brother now and buy tickets for the first few games on that to rack up a few points

Either way the answer to the question is that of course youhave to have enough points for each ticket you want to buy. Otherwise the points system would be totally redundant.

Good point - and going on last season's turnout, you'll have the whole of one block (R28) to yourselves
