Huntley & Palmer
RG30 We paid Setanta £10 for first 3 months, then £15 for the rest through Sky/ordering via Internet.

Only problem is we have to pay extra for Hatton's fight this weekend

You lucked out, if you join now you get the Hatton fight and the first three months of PL football for £15 as the other two months are free

It's now only 2 months for the price of one I think

Just called them - they'll still honour that deal (two months free) if you sign today but your contract starts now meaning you're not going to get any footy for the first six weeks anyway! They're not daft are they?!

So much for competition, paying for both Sky and Setanta costs more overall so don't sign up to Setanta, let them go bust so that all sport goes back to Sky which will be cheaper for Sky subscribers.

Setanta will not go bust

Setanta is a HUGE sports broadcaster providing sport int othe US and Asia Pacific markets

As there is no SKY PPV as a result of this new deal its SKY + SKY PPV you should compare with the SKY + Setanta prices. In addition to SKY + SKY PPV you also get Scottish, French, Dutch, German and Italian football. along with Setanta Golf and a number of other servcies they offer on SKY and Virgin media. Different people will get different results when they do the maths depending how interested they are in the additional services.

As I was a Setanta subscriber anyway for Rangers/Celtic TV, and the SPL I am saving money as I won't have to fork out for PPV games anymore.

They will be getting the FA Cup and England internationals in 2008

They are out to take over from SKY as the Number 1 sports broadcaster in the UK.

A couple of years ago they hired all the guys that set up SKY sports to make this happen

The coverage of the Foreign Leagues was the lure for me, not the EPL games for next year but I read somewhere recently Channel 5 have got the rights to the Serie A for next season.

You don't even get the full game like you used to as they're too obsessed with stupid quiz channel money.

So it's now over a week since the fixtures came out and Sky have already announced their non-Premiership domestice schedule up to the end of November but still nothing on the Prem fixtures. Anyone know when these are likely to come out?
