I didn't have a point - I was asking as I didn't know and wondered whether it was a sell out or not. HTFH

Even stranger - just got tickets in the East Stand Y24 - some seats even available in the north stand.

Personally this is great for people (if this trend continues) who have chosen not to get a season ticket this year but have enough points to purchase tickets when they first come out. Pick and choose your games (live on sky / setanta etc) and cost will be cheaper than a full purchase of a season ticket.

I know its holiday season etc - but i am very surprised tickets are available. Game will sell out i reckon - but midweek game can attract more fans and we are playing Chelsea which must be right up there for game of the season based on last seasons events.

Whereabouts in Y24? Fingers crossed it's row X seats around seat 183-184 as that'll mean the moaners have moved on - we can but dream!

The 17 Bus
Royal Lady What was the attendance figure for Middlesborough at home last season?

23, 855, so Chelsea could be higher, your point is?

I remember being shocked at the number of empty seats at the Boro game, given how big the game was. But, as pointed out already, attendances in August are always lower due to summer holidays.

I agree that they are lower...but...

Midweek games tend to attract additional fans for those that cant make Saturdays.

First home game of the season.

Playing Chelsea.

Playing Chelsea after all the hassle from last season.

I for one am pleased if this trend continues as i can pick and choose additional games now.

There was something on SSN recently about this. We're not the only club with tickets available for our first home game. I think it was only Man U and West Ham who had completely sold out.

I agree that we should only expand to a maximum of around 30k, but the hassle of going through all the planning, gettting permission and the disruption of building probably makes it easier for the club to do all three sides they plan to do, all at once.

it would make no sense to do all three sides. If we were to be relegated this season then you would have a 36,000 seater stadium with only 15,000 in it.

Man Utd have only just sold out. Tickets were available earlier in the week.

Interestingly, you can still buy season tickets at Old Trafford for this season!

When you get the green light to extend the ground, how long do you get before you need to re-submit?

Schards#2 Season Tickets don't sell out

Allocation for Man Utd away, not sold out

Tickets for Chelsea at home (arguably 2nd biggest home game of the season) not sold out

Anyone else sense a slight dropping off in demand this season? Or are you Woodcote Royal.

The argument for the extention was that at least we could guarantee to sell out Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool. Time for a rethink.

Err, no, it's time for geniuine supporters of this club to see the bigger picture.

I would imagine that many fans re-arranged their holidays, or didn't go away at all last summer, to make sure they didn't miss our first ever season in the top flight, so yes, demand will be down on the initial impact at the start of the last campaign.

Does that mean the stadium will not be all but full throughout this season with only a few thousand seats available to non STH's?......................only in the mind of one selfish individual who inhabits the East stand.
