Behindu Would it be more or less beneficial to play a short series of games against (say) Croatia, Denmark and Chile ?
And then the next year play Scotland, Australia and Russia ?
Expose the players to a variety of styles, provide more interest to the fans.
One year where it is the Scotland ROI and Wales might be interesting but playing the same set of teams on a regular basis - when we see the players involved every week anyway ?

TBM Why is it we never play friendlies away!?

Katie Marsden International friendlies should be scrapped, no one cares and even the players don't put any real effort in. Their main concern is avoiding injury and rightly so. Why risk injury for a nothing game?

England's next game
Friendly: Austria V England - 16/11/07 8pm.
Not Germany or Brazil but an away Friendly - and we're going to France and Spain for friendlies in 2008.

A friendly 5 days before a Vital Euro Qualifier ?????
IMO this just goes to show how inept the FA really are!

Stranded It's fairly common across football to play a friendly international when you have a blank day on double header weeks.

Rubbish.
If you scrap friendlies you may as well scrap international football.
What needs to happen is for them to be taken seriously and used for the learning about the players and the team.
Both Sven and McLaren wasted the friendlies and so they became meaningless.
