Behindu Well the lack of consistency comes in the endless diversions off to flog the dead horse of whether demand has fallen and whether it is of any relevance if it has. And your position isn't quite as you describe becasue you have nailed your colours firmly to the mast of there being insufficient demand to justify going ahead.
The lack of logic comes because the work needs to start as soon as the season ends so you can;t leave the decision until Friday and expect the builders to start on the Monday (unless you want to get into some significant costs).
We know already the extension is needed. There is no reason at all to 'gather more data'. The only reason to delay the decision is based on which league we'll be in. We aren't privy to the various costs involved and it may be that the board decide that it is better to plan to go ahead but pay penalty clauses to cancel than either plan to go ahead and carry on if we go down or decide to shelve the plans and risk carrying on with an undersized ground in the Prem.
My position has been entirely consistent and you seem to be agreeing with given that we may well not know what division we are in until the last day of the season.
The issue of whether (or more accurately, by how much), demand has fallen is a seperate issue. I have been entirely consistent about when the extention decision should be made and, given that you now seem to concur, i'm surprised you would question the logic.
