New Kits for 2008/2009 - Suggestions

by Alan Partridge » 19 Mar 2008 11:01

Home Kit

PLEASE put the hoops all the way round, Sunderland don't have a panel, so that excuse is shit. Please give us a decent collar again, and give us back white shorts. They look to horribly like CHelsea from the back currently.

AWAY kit

Yellow would be good.

Any suggestions?

Anyone whose any good at design want to put a few trial kits up?

The 92-4 or the 94-5 kits is what they should be aiming for IMO

to be honest as recent as 2000/2001 was good. The playoff kit. Simple but bang on. Not so keen with the badge in the middle of the shirt but other than that absolutely fine.

away kit I'm not so fussed about, we've not really had many good ones in recent years!!

It's better than the uber shocking red one from last season.

No yellow please. My yellow Mizuno one won't be a "classic" anymore and I won't be able to spot myself on MOTD.

Alan Partridge Would they listen to what the fans want?

It's highly unlikely they would allow fans to choose kit a,b or c for instance because it may stop supporters from buying the chosen kit if they didn't choose that particular design.

The reality is though it will be a standard Puma design (assuming of course they are still going to be our kit makers).

No.

I've made similar spproaches to the club in the past about the fans getting a say and was turned away.

Like the ideas though!

Similar to the current Celtic kit, Puma branded, with a nice new sponsor. Please.

Aye, my mate's son spoke to Marcus after the City game - he's seen the keeper's kit for next season.

White shorts are a must. All the good RFC hooped kits in the past have had white shorts.

Hoops all the way round would be ideal, with white shorts again. Smart, simple looking kit, nothing over the top. Away kit would be red if I had my way but not like the pile of shit we had last season.

Although none of this will happen ofcourse.
