A true fan will do two things:

1. Back the boys.
2. Make some noise.

Thats becasue there are not many fans but I drum and sing no matter what the score is and it is loud down at Scours Lane. Look there is an average crowd of 23,499 at Reading FC and half of them don't even sing and the rest only sing when their winning.

Scarface I've supported Reading since we were in Div 4 and will continue next season and forever more. However if I choose I leave early to get in the pub, boo the players if they are shit and moan like fcuk during the games.

I'm still a true fan......

100% true. And if I think the transfer and wage policy stinks and will send us down, I will say so. And true supporters don't sit back and accept all the bullshit rhetoric that comes out of the club for that very reason - that they are true supporters and CARE about what happens.

True supporters R us!

seahawk10 Good post. I would replace the word fan with supporter. And every person is different. I think Reading has great support and it will only grow (even if the club goes down). I can't stop thinking about the Arsenal match even though logically I know it is very likely a defeat. And I am trying to plan out my sleep so I can wake up at 4:45am on Saturday to watch on my computer. It takes all types I guess.

Well done Seahawk...I hope your lack of sleep is rewarded with at least a point...but I have a feeling you may want to go back to bed by 7:00am!

Let's face it, who gives a shit? Being a true fan has NOTHING to do with noise levels. I'll say that again. Being a true fan has NOTHING to do with noise levels.

If you would like to join the Grammar Gestapo, just ask Crossie, ok?
You seem bitter that you are not in such a cool clique.
