You sure this is the latest?

Well considering we haven't got to the 30/06/2008 it doesn't take Einstein to work out that they are.

But these accounts were psoted ages ago so I don't see why someone has bothered again.

well what with all the talk of relegation, cutbacks, wage cuts, lack of investment, less TV money i thought a quick look at the accounts of the club may be relevant.

so the huge profits of 6 m we had last year, only just cover the loss from the previous year?
and this years will probably go some way to paying our losses previous to that
not hard to see why we dont spend much really isnt it

What stands out for me is the apparent near doubling of operating costs from 2006 to 2007.

I understand that the club's previous losses were covered by loans by Mr Mad.

Is it not possible that the reported £6M profit is after repayment of (at least a sizeable proportion of) those loans?

No; loans, and repayment thereof, do not feature in a profit and loss account. Balance Sheet only.

So depsite all the protests about Madjeski the blunt fact is that the premiership has only ensured a 6 million profit

Thank you Mr Madejksi's press office!

Please don't do accountants such a disservice. They are expert at getting accounts to show the picture they wish to portray of a business(es) - all legally and ethically of course, I would stress. This one set of accounts will by no means show the full story. I'm also sure JM's business interests are structured in a highly tax efficient way (you would be staggered at just how much tax people can avoid if they can afford to employ tax consultants) and that he is still doing very nicely thank you very much.

I don't think Coppell deals with contracts. Still, nice moan all the same.

Fae is a good player. He's just the wrong player. It's as if on being told we needed someone to replace Sidwell, our scouts hunted high and low for someone to take over from Harper.
