From Reading: M4 westbound to Junction 18, turn right on to A46, keep going until you get to Nailsworth then follow the brown signs that say FGR.

Forest Green are doing a "kids free" promotion for this game - just recived the below from their Supporters' Trust.

Forest Green Rovers Football Club look forward to welcoming Reading FC and everyone connected to the Club to the New Lawn as part of our programme of pre season friendly matches and to see as many of you as possible on Tuesday 15 July 2008, kick off 7.45pm.

Directions to the Stadium can be found on the club website, http://www.forestgreenroversfc.com/clubAndStadium/newLawnStadium/directions.asp

Admission prices for the game are: Adults £10 and Concessions £5. Children under 16 years of age will be admitted free of charge when accompanied by a full paying adult, subject to a maximum of two children per adult.

The Stadium houses its own public house, ‘The Green Man’, and is open to both home and away fans for pre and post match drinks. Snacks and a hot meal are also available.

If you need to make any special arrangements or have any question you would like answered, please telephone the FGR Club Office on 01453 834860.

Hi all again

I personally can't wait for the Royals to come here to not so sunny Nailsworth. Having looked at the Didcot thread it looks like Mr Coppell played a good mix of regulars and fringe players (As you would expect I suppose). I for one am really looking froward to it. Who are the players that you think I should look out for as rising stars.

On another note I wish the doom mongers would shut the ***** up as we are now coming into a new season with new challenges and new sucesses. I fully expect the Royals to romp this league this season. If you can't stand the downs of football you should go and support Arsenal. Chelsea Man U et al. Although they probably do!!!!!

You should try watching conference football.

Nailsworth is only around thirty odd mintues from where I live so am going to the game with my lad. Have never been to the ground before so something different I guess.

Alex Pearce, James Henry (pronounced the same as Thierry btw), Jem Karacan and Hal Robson-Kanu are almost certain to play. Pearce and Henry are likely to be in the first team at the start of next season. Other youngsters you could see are Simon Church, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Julian Kelly, but Kelly's only in there because we only have 3 left backs.

Is the team going to be full of ressies or first teamers? If the latter, then I'll be there! 8)

What, and let the RTGs hog the limelight? No chance. There are 3 types on this board, RTGs, Realistics and STGs. Presumably you have just joined the board, and so naturally you will gravitate towards the first group. As the years of supporitng RFC go by, you will mysteriously find yourself being drawn further and further to the right of that list. Weird science, but it's true!

Anyway, welcome, and long may you bathe in the blissfulness of ignorance! (Damn Scrumpy Jack kicking in again. Picked a fine season to give up the booze  )
