Club match balls

Seeing how the Championship games have the club badge printed onto them, why is it that for the Carling cup, someone has decided instead of leaving it blank, to scribble RFC across the front, maybe I'll get one of these in the megastore.

Because they're the balls players use to warm up with beforehand - just like every other team in the world at every level they don't want to lose them when they take them to another ground, so they mark them so they know which ones to put back in the bag at the end of the warmup.

What happens to the ones that kicked out of the ground? Didn't that happen at Dagenham & Redbridge? Do they go looking for them, or do thy just write them off?

Depends if a nipper got it first and runs off with it. I remember watching Sunday league and there was a woods behind one of the goals. I use to hide in there and when a ball was kicked in i would try and find it and keep it. Well only when i needed a ball.
