Doesn't bother me. I hate Liverpool for some reason, so i always have an interest when they play. ie, the opposition hopefully winning.

TBM Next Wednesday on ITV we have......................wait for it........................can you guess.......................LIVERPOOL

I would also prefer to watch Arsenal TBM but the tie is (dare I say it) something of a foregone conclusion and while we can expect Liverpool to win, they still have some work to do.

In this case, I understand ITV's decision. Alas.

I know i know but they should have shown the Arsenal 1st leg as they were probably always going for Liverpool 2nd leg as a game at Anfield is always a "great atmosphere"

As this is the prelim rounds the games aren't part of the CL tv deal, I believe Setanta put in a decent bid for the Arsenal game way before the draw was made hence ITV only had the choice of the Liverpool game or nothing at all.

Intertoto cup finished about a month ago. Aston Villa, Rosenberg and Elfsborg won through from the northern section of the draw.

No, you would be referring to the second qualifying round of the UEFA cup, played on Thursday featuring Aston Villa and Manchester City.

Other bigger names from around Europe playing in these games include one time European cup winners Red Star Belgrade, Stuttgart and Napoli.

There's a wonderful world of variety and colour outside of the Champions League.

Teams like Viking Stavanger, Hapoel Tel Aviv, St Gallen and Mallorca.

 I wish we'd entered the InterToto cup.

As far as I can tell

Cluj, Famagusta and BATE are all group stage virgins.

I think you are correct. Certainly BATE are the first Belarussian side to qualify and Famagusta the first Cypriot side.

I wasn't sure about Aalborg. It'd be over a decade since they were last in it, at any rate.

Also note worthy, imo, are the returns of Atletico Madrid, for the first time in a decade, and Fiorentina (first time since about 2000?). Both could be decent, both in the lowest seeds.
