Anyone know who's on ITV1 tomorrow for the champions league game?

ITV1 is Marseille v Liverpool
ITV4 is Chelsea v Bordeaux

TBF, Marseille v Liverpool is (on paper) a more attractive tie.

Yet again, I see it's Liverpool/Chelsea one night and Manure/Arseholes the other night. Why???

It's all about UEFA pairings, Spacey - when the draw is made, certain clubs are "paired" together for TV / policing purposes.

Liverpool and United, being the biggest two TV audiences (apparently), actually have an agreement that they play on alternating nights in the group stage, at least.

Well, no, that's clearly not true. It is simply that the other two have the two largest TV audiences and it makes financial sense to put them on alternating days.

Ok, I can understand that, but why not Liverpool/Arsenal and Man Utd/Chelsea?

Of all the 3rd round games ITV could have shown yesterday - they opt for......................Preston v LIVERPOOL

Not only that but in the highlights, they show it again in length and then spend 5 mins afterwards discussing Gerrard's influence on the game.

ITV love Liverpool and BBC love United. Liverpool will likely get Kettering in the next round and thats a shoe in to be shown

Nail on head.

I for one hope Gerrards put away for a couple of years. Then, perhaps, they'll stop talking about the Barton wannabe.
