The Orange Kit

by phil in cornwall » 20 Oct 2008 21:26

So far this season how many points have been won in the orange shirts?

I know the 'away kit' has to be worn in order to boost sales at the store. But I think it costs us points.

I can't see why we can't wear the blue hoops whenever possible. After all, they are Reading. They could clearly have been worn at Preston.

I think the orange shirts are losers and we should not wear them unless we are playing a team where there is a real clash of colours.

If we so demanded then we could wear out home shirt at any football ground in the country and force the home team to use a kit that does not class. We are from the royal county you know.

the dutch do alright in orange... although i think it's a bit of a nicer shade than what we've got. i don't think it's a coincidence we're not doing well when we wear it. football isn't about skill... it's all about psychology

We've played in it v Preston and v Ipswich in the league and lost both. We were cr*p at Ipswich and we were the better side at Preston and but for two supposed experienced players who should know a lot better we would have got something from the game.

Be interesting to see if we have to wear it at Burnley (think they wore their change strip at ours), if we don't then its next appearance will be for the usual embarrassment that occurs at Ninian Park.

2 games is a little bit too soon to be saying its a jinx though...
