Bristol city away (Non hooligan thread)

by Royalshow » 23 Oct 2008 22:53

Really looking foward to this game. The away end at City keeps all the sound in,plus the seats are practically non existent so it should be a really good atmosphere.Does anyone know how many we have sold so far?

All I hope for is a decent away following (i.e no day trippers) so that all the "proper" songs (and some new ones) can be given an airing rather than alternating between "Blarmy" and "Stand Up for Steve Coppell" as we do at home.

We're awayday plastics so first away game of the season for us and I'm really looking forward to that Old Skool terrace-style atmosphere - minus the numbskull element that's being given some airing on the other thread, I hope.

Brizzle is this year's Fulham. A proper old skool day out. Innit.

They're bolted onto an old terrace and have no back to them. Exactly the same as the ones they used to have behind the goal at Wembley on the old terrace.

It's not a problem though - I've been to Ashton Gate 4 times and have yet to sit down during a game.

Well the seats have no backs, but you don't really realize this until you go to sit down.Plus if you have a larger carriage it won't support your weight. This result in most people preferring to stand instead. The size of each step is different as well near the bottom.

Second away match of the season for me.

The Away end at City is cramped to say the least. But we should be able to crank up the support for the boys.
