Injured Players

by AlexY25 » 04 Nov 2008 19:22

We've got one or two players who are injured or who are not quite fit yet.

Doobs is one, would there be a place for him in the team when hes back to full fitness?

Same with Graeme Murty. I notice that hes still the club captain, so does that mean when hes back he'll just come straight back in the team despite Roseniors good form?

What an incredibly rubbish thread.

Murts probably won't play for us again and Doobs is crap.

Murty said on the radio yesterday morning that when he's fit again (eventually...) he won't come back into the team straight away-he knows he has to work hard to get his place back, just like every other player in the squad. It's intresting that you refer to Liam in this...are you sure you weren't the guy texting in BBCRB yesterday morning asking Murts a simliar question to this one?

Rosenior is worlds better than Murty. Fitness wise especially! Do love Murts but time does move on.

Doobery is no way near Bikey either, or Ings for that matter, but a sub fo' shure!

He's consistently a better defender than Bikey and is a better organiser than Ivar. HTH.

When he is fit, he needs to be on the bench at least.

Dubery and Murty when fit could challenge for places in our team, but to get in those already selected would need to suffer injury, underperform (in the games or training) or be in need of a rest.

Coppell won't change a winning team, rightly so. However both these players will have a significant role to play this season, for me Duberry and Bikey would be our best defensive combination, but Ivar has been better in recent weeks. Rosenior is at right back and I don't see any reason to change there just yet, but Murty will play at some stage this season I am sure. Rosenior can't play 50odd games.

i like doobs, always performed well for us
if recovered fully from injury i may well put him ahead of ivar, but it will take a couple of bad games from ingi for him to get a look in and rightly so

Duberry was immense against derby last game of the season, but then who didn’t look amazing against them

But I do think he is better than ingi, but they are all playing good at the moment so no need to change

Also Murty had his last game orless Rosenior gets injured or we have already won the league.

Some people on here really do have short memories and suffer from outofsightoutofminditis.
We are just 3 months into this season and because they haven't featured (Murty and Duberry) suddenly they are finished and yet Marek who also hasn't featured is a must as soon as he is fit.
It's the same with those that have left-all of a sudden they were never any good.

I hope that Murty and Duberry are soon fit again and putting pressure on those that currently have the shirt-competition for places is good.
