League Cup QF fixtures 2-3/12/08

by Thaumagurist* » 02 Dec 2008 15:20

Tuesday, 2 December 2008
Burnley v Arsenal, QF, 19:45
Stoke v Derby, QF, 19:45

Wednesday, 3 December 2008
Man Utd v Blackburn, QF, 20:00
Watford v Tottenham, QF, 19:45

Who do you reckon will progress to the semis? Will it be an all Premiership affair or will the Championship sides triumph against all odds?

I'll achieve a great big wood if Burnley and Blackburn win.

Personally I think it's outrageous that Burnley progressed and escaped any penalty from one of their fans throwing a coin in the last round.

They should have had their fans fans banned from the next game, i.e this plum tie against Arsenal.

That said I hope they beat the Arse, and Spacey probably has the results spot on.

I hope we will come the 3rd Championship side through but I doubt it somehow.

Damn Leroy and his penalty miss - it we'd have won against Stoke it would have been Rotherham and then Derby at home for us...

What with all the championship sides through no-one's going to watch the semis and the final.

That is unless United get through or Blackburn do and they get Burnley. Would be an exciting two legged match up that. East Lancashire derby and the semi-final/final of the League cup. A recipe for high tension.

I'm so glad that Arsenal got knocked out last night so that this media and Royal Rother tommy tank fest can finally come to an end.

Not all, HaroLOLd, not all (hence my trips to Victoria Road and the Brittannia this season). I'd quite like a decent cup run (in either cup) but am realistic enough to see that a cup run is way down the list of the Club's priorities.

Don't often agree with you but here I do...

As Danny Baker said on 606 last night, stop calling them The Wonderkids, give them their real name, Arsenal Reserves.
