Are you trying to say that Horsfield's career was already over? :?

rabidbee Chemo, surgery, recovery time, possibly more chemo? He's already 34, seems fair to say he's unlikely to return to fitness for a couple of years. Mind you, another cancer-suffering Geoff recently rode the Tour de France...

Two of my friends have had testicular cancer, neither had chemo for it. I suppose, though, the treatment will depend on how early it was caught.

Not being an oncologist, I wasn't sure what the treatment would be - hence the question mark.

He became quite good friends with Christophe Dugarry when the frenchman was at Birmingham, so much so that he got invited by Christophe to spent a week at his villa by the med one summer.

So there's Geoff and wife and Christophe and wife having lunch and sipping wine when Christophe's mate from the french national team, Zinedine popped round for a chat.

Horsfield has subsequently commented that "I was kind of hoping they didn't get a ball out"

"Nearing the end" would, I think, be more accurate.
