Fair play to him. They made Man City look good today. Stephen Ireland though is a different class.

Good to see the commentator demonstrate a total lack of knowledge of football outside the Premiership. "Have you ever seen anything like this before?"

Er, yes. Russell Slade giving his Grimsby side a half time team talk on the pitch at Lincoln a few years back.

I thought it was embarrasing to watch. I bet the players had a few words for each other, mainly about how Brown is such an ungrateful oxf*rd.

He has every right to do it. If those players are performing like clowns then so be it. Afterall look what they are being payed. I'm sure the players didn't give a flying monkeys about it tbh.

I've got a feeling they'll go down too, they're only 5 points better off now than we were at this stage last season and the league this year is much tighter

Graham Taylor did something similar with Villa in 02-03 as well.

they're only 5 points better off now than we were at this stage last season

Are they not 1 point nearer to relegation than we were? Or am I confuzzled.

Another reminder that, until about March, points and performances might be a more reliable indicator than position.

If they were in the dressing room then everyone would have had the opportunity to have their arguments and get things off their chest. It would have stayed there and been forgotten about. Humiliating them like that in front of 50,000 people will not have gone down well. I think he will lose the respect of the players and it could lead to them being relegated.
