Fuller and Griffin clash

by bishbosh92 » 29 Dec 2008 11:51

Who saw the incedent of Fuller slapping Griffin in the stoke v west ham match and bein sent off.

What do you think of the incendent, personally i dont think Fuller should play for them again as it was a disgraceful show of disrespect towards your club captain.

Also funny it was against west ham if we all remember the Bowyer V dyer incedent

Anyway what did you guys think of it.

Heard this on the radio on the way back from the Southampton game and was well up for watching the highlights on Match of the Day as a result.

To say I was a little dissapointed is an understatement. On the radio they built it up as if Fuller had knocked ten bells of sh*t out of his captain, but in reality it was nothing more than a tickle.

Still, it's very disrespectful as you say, although I think Fuller had a reason to be pointing the finger. Apparently Griffin picked up a knock and was due to be substituted, but wanted to give it five more minutes. It was during these five minutes that Carlton Cole turned him and scored, so Fuller had a point to a certain degree.

Still, there are plenty of ways to approach it without the need to slap your captain round the face! He's a silly boy.

Fuller was complaining about the defending that let in West Ham's first goal. But he has nothing to do with the defending. Griffin should of slapped him back for a poor attacking display. It's the same thing.

Shouldn't be allowed to play for Stoke again.

The Stoke dressing room must be an interesting place to be - I wonder if Mr Kitson has given them the benefit of his team-building expertise?

Storm in a teacup.

Stoke can't really do without Fuller. Fine and an apology should cover it IMO.

Griffin shouldn't have been on the park if he had an injury he wasn't sure about. He was poor when the ball came in, but got unlucky with his attempted clearance.

I think Ricardo Fuller hit Griffin because he is white.

Only explanation.

I agree that Stoke wont cope without Fuller as he is there best striker by far.

But no one should show such utter disrespect and slap ur own captain, so still dont think he should play again!

I think he hit him because he's shit and will almost single-handedly cost Fuller his place in the Premiership along with Sonko.

The club are standing by him. Too valuable an asset to release. Spats on the pitch / training ground happen often enough for this to be dealt with internally. It's laughable to state 'get rid of him' over this incident.
