Huntley & Palmer Bit too much of a jump for me, he would be better served at a club in League 1 or below. Bit like Ince, I think the pressure on him would be too much

Plenty of managers who go straight into league management with no experience, so I don't see why. Boothroyd went in his first management job aged 34, and took them up to the Premiership just over a year later. Southgate had no previous experience when he went straight into management at 'Boro, Mark Hughes went straight into international management, and I'm sure you could find others.

Anyway - give him a bit of time, maybe he'll turn Derby into a League 1 side yet!

I rather hope he'll be good. I think 10 years building up a club in the lower leagues will stand him in good stead and mean that he's fairly level-headed about things but he's a fairly respected ex-international so there's less possible issues with players. And, given how Clough's career/life ended, it would just be nice.

The security guard at PC world agreed with me.

Why because Brighton fans hate Clough? Surely Leeds would be a better game?

Am I about to be whooshed if I put "Burton Albion"?

I think I should be whooshed to be honest.

Reading to much into the Cloughie legacy it seems.
