Fa Cup Replays

Would'nt it be nice to see chelsea get beat at roots hall. If you cast your minds back the last big 4 club to go there was man utd and they were undone by the gypo

I can really see Chelsea losing tonight. In fact, the big four have been pretty average in all honesty this season. However, i do think Utd are starting to raise their game and will push on in all 4 competitions (unless 'arry carries on his FA Cup magic v Man Utd)

Taken from bbc sport:

1903: Well, that was a silly seven minutes. Referee Chris Foy called the game off and then, with the fog clearly lifting, came back out again and promptly changed his mind...

1900: SOUTHEND v CHELSEA IS BACK ON AGAIN! (I think)

1857: Unbelievable. I'm looking at live pictures of the pitch at Roots Hall and it looks fine. Bit foggy but not exactly Dickensian. I'm now hearing referee Chris Foy is going to come back out and have another look. So we may be back on again...

1853: SOUTHEND v CHELSEA IS OFF

1850: No time for idle chit-chat, I bring you breaking news, of sorts. The fog is descending at Roots Hall and the FA Cup replay between Southend and Chelsea is under threat.

Quote from Chris Foy:

1905: "It's been a very difficult decision. We'll start at 2010 GMT as planned but if the fog comes back down again, we'll have to abandon it. Just before I called the game off, we couldn't see from one end of the pitch to the other but thankfully, for some bizarre reason, it's now as clear as a bell."

I thought you only had to be able to see the goal from the half way line. :|

I've just searched the rules and I can't find it. It seems to be down to the referee's discretion about what conditions are suitable.

That should of been 2-0 fantastic header from the southend striker and a point blank save from the idiot in the stupid hat

I was just posting a LOLz as that happened, I feel slightly guilty. Still, are they not taking the cup seriously and resting Fwank etc?
