The best team in the division for entertainment value?

by Archie's penalty » 22 Jan 2009 12:45

Watching Burnley last night I was mightily impressed with their passing, movement and desire. They play great football, Chris Eagles and Robbie Blake being two footed, clever and creative.

Anyway after Swansea passing us off the park on Saturday I just wondered who are the most entertaining team in the division?

I have included the top twelve teams in the division if you're wondering.

To be honest I thoroughly enjoyed Doncaster's approach. I am aware that they went home with no points, but I and a number of people around me felt that the quality of their football was surprisingly good, and that it'd be "a good thing" if they stayed up playing that way

Blake was class last night and Eagles destroyed them in the first half of the first leg. I was impressed with Pattison last night as well.

Would have to be Doncaster or Swansea really.

They have great passing abilities all round and shame that we don’t really pass a team to death.

Well, Reading obviously...but I've enjoyed watching Burnley play on the telly.

I'd go with the league table....

Pretty passing doesn't make you a 'good' football team and I don;t think being beaten every week whilst stringing together lots of passes makes you entertaining.

Teams like us and Wolves have got the balance right between 'pretty' and 'effective' and it's no coincidence we both score lots of goals.

It is good to see the likes of Swansea and Doncaster playing the way they do and I'd agree Burnley have a similar mix to ourselves.

Most Entertaining: Swansea/Burnley
Most effective without being entertaining: Cardiff/Birmingham
Best of both: Wolves and URZ

Happy? :?

I'm looking forward to finding out who wins the poll on a Reading fans message board, voted on by Reading fans, about which the best team in the division is.

Odd question. We've scored 6 at home too and the Sheff Wed game was very entertaining.

Well I voted for Burnley and I thought some others might be a bit more objective too.
