Used to regularly go and see city when i was a kid (Trevor Francis and Joe Corrigan were playing for them then) so have a bit of a soft(ish) spot for them. It's all a bit embarrassing up at City now though and i can see it getting worse. Would love to see them relegated

Crap crowd but then the stadium was a heap of shit then too. Only the east stand actually existed so the capacity cant have been huge

Capacity pre development of Stamford Bridge was 40,000 but reducing to various levels during 90s as first the Matthew Harding, then then West Stand, followed by Shed were redevloped one stand at a time.

There was a period of a couple of seasons in the mid-late 90s where the West Stand consisted of only the (open) lower tier as a load of Rodneys living locally objected to the rebuild plans claiming size of proposed new West Stand was going to block out their light, planning eventually went through though thanks to cuddly Ken's top notch solicitors.

Still in 94 or whenever it was that was a poor crowd (for a "big club") as capacity as you say was prob still 25,000.

I have stood in the Shed, paid a quid extra at the gate to sit in the West Stand benches on rainy occasions, stood in the Shed and also in the old away end terrace pre redevelopment days and although the Bridge was a toilet in those days with a ploughed field of a pitch the atmosphere was still more intimidating with a crowd of 12,000 than it is now with the extra 32,000 Chavski plastics and hoorays that turn up claiming to be life long fans of the "Chels".

Anyway, Robinho has a history does he not from Real Madrid days? Was it Calderon who called him mentally unstable and a man who cries like a baby??!! I bet they have a wry smile with these latest reports...
