Surely Frank's expression won't change

Apart from that LOLz and honestly exactly what I would have done with this (bar the celeb fans, nice touch) if I had any talents in this realm whatsoever!

Royal Lady LOL that the Man City Chief Exec has the same name as TMD's dad. Top jibbing opportunity for him there, what with his Mancunian accent and all!

He's been having a right laugh of late. He's in Milan at the moment getting all those City fans giddy while lining up a bid for Bellamy on the quiet.

Top work OLD MAN.

LOL @ Garry Cook - well out of his depth with City. His comments since the Kaka saga have been hilarious to listen to, calling Milan bottlers, even though Milan agreed a fee. Face it m8, Kaka just didn't want to sign. Then slagging off Kaka's Dad. What a clown.

The full extend of Manchester City's difficulties in the transfer window were revealed when it emerged that the club had also tried and failed to sign David Villa, Gianluigi Buffon and Thierry Henry before their aborted £91m world-record bid for Kaka. (The Guardian)

Its cringe worthy, When will they learn? I've also heard they wanna offload Richards on the cheap, not sure whats up with him recently. It wasn't that long ago he was England's brightest prospect

Villa were bought by a multi-millionaire three years ago now.

The first transfers were a few frees and players that the manager knew, to steady the ship while he worked out who was who in the squad that remained. A defensive midfielder was the only player bought in.

They used this as a stepping stone and have spent an increasing amount each year, slowly but surely improving the squad.
They have also spent sums on players that should improve - A. Young being the first and obvious one but players like Reo-Coker, Knight and Davies are only going to improve.

This surely has to be the model for dealing with a sudden burst of cash when you've previously been a bit mediocre.

Villa are a great example, there is no reason why City coudldn't have done the same. Man Citys problem is they think they a bigger than they are, and that they have a right to be in the CL because they have x amount of fans every week. They don't have the patiance to do what Martin O'Neil has done, in fact i wouldn't mind betting he'd of been sacked at City after 1 season.

To be fair to City, they are MASSIVE.

LOLz @ Reading jumping on the massive bandwagon with regards to Brighton.

Thing is, its the new owners fault - they come in with all these millions, dont understand the game and just want to show off how much money and power they have so tell the manager "we want you to sign him, him and him"

Villa was bought as an investment not a play thing!

Maybe this is why the deal fell through, 3rd party ownership isn't legal here is it?

Luckily he hasn't got the cross to bear
It's probably got more to do with his possible later vocation in life he's hinting at.

Hate to resurrect the Kaka to City thread, but this will amuse.

WHEN Manchester City's £100m bid for Brazilian superstar Kaka fell through fan Chris Atkinson was more blue than most.

The keen City fan was so confident his team could secure the deal to bring the AC Milan star to Eastlands that he got the player's name tattooed across his chest.

And he's been so embarrassed since the bid fell through last month that he's only just revealed his 6cm-wide new body art - in the centre of his chest - to mates.

Chris, 25, from Altrincham, who has 18 tattoos, including the City badge and England's three lions on his leg and a St George's flag with MCFC on his arm, paid £60 for the new body art after news broke that City were chasing the star. ....
