Anybody heard a peep about that chap, Radoslav Vasilev, we signed? I thought he sounded good when we got him.

There's quite a bit of debate on that thread too to be honest.

As I've said on a couple of threads, I don't think Lita and Doyle together works.

They each need to "lead the line" to be effective, so either of them would be great alongside a secondary striker prepared to do the running for them, but together just doesn't work.

That's why Doyle & NHunt works so well, and Lita and Long did work well in the past (e.g. away at Man City) - but the two together - NO!!

Why is there even a debate? Doyle an Hunt have worked great together this season.
Lita is a million times the player Long is and should come on from the bench.

Simples.

A Fed has scored as many goals for us as Lita this season and I think I'd rather see him playing up front for us.

Harsh

Fed has scored the only time he's played upfront for us as well.

1 in 1. He sould be in ahead of Doyle according to Snowball rules!

Doyle has to start, as his game gives a lot more than Hunt, Lita and Long.

At the moment, I would like to see Hunt and Doyle as they are the proven strikeforce we have. They have got us into this position, know how each other play and work well together

I say we have 3 forwards

Doyle, Hunt, Lita

All these 3 play through the middle...

Would mean sacrificing our wingers tho..

Might also mean that we could play Matejovsky in a 3 man midfield

Team would look like this :

Rosenior ------- Pearce/Bikey/Doobs---- Pearce/Bikey/Doobs------- Armstrong

------------------------------------------Cisse-------------------------------------------

----------------------------Harper/Tabb------------Matejovsky-----------------------

----------------------NHunt-----------Lita---------------Doyle

Yes a very narrow team but with Rosenior and Armstrong bombing forward at every opportunity then it could be done

Obviously you wouldn't play this system against a 5-Man midfield
But i wouldnt mind seeing this at our next home game to see how it works

It's all well and good speculating about how a new formation will work, but Coppell is a 4-4-2 manager and always will be.
He'll only change his formation when necessary, and even then it's almost certainly going to be a 4-5-1 to cope with the rival 5 man midfield.

Someone try the formation on FM?

It's fb on 07, but average on 09.

I agree with papereyes, I would rather have Fedders up front than Lita. Let's see, he's spent under one minute up front in the league, so using the laws of the Snowball, that's 90+ goals a match!

You're right Sam, it is narrow. Given our success under Coppell has been down to width and 4-4-2 I'd say that was an extremely radical and unlikely to be implemented departure.

It also deprives us of two players who, between them, have apparently earnt about 20 or more assists for us. Doesn't seem very sensible really.

Bringing Lita back has hardly set the world alight, so I'd go back to Doyle and NHunt which was a very fruitfull partnership early on in the season.

I'd then try and get Wallbeck on loan from Man Utd.
