Royal With Cheese I'd like to see Hull fade into the obscurity they came from. The only real reason for this is they are taking the gloss of our first Prem season and they were shite when they got promoted.

They are only 6 points off relegation, we were miles clear in our first season.

Since when have facts and logic been the basis for MOTD bland generalisations?

I once responded to a request for feedback from the producer of MotD, and asked him why he seemed happy to have "experts" talking about the quality and survival chances of the three promoted clubs from 2006, without any of them having spent any time at all actually trying to find out about the quality of the players in their squads. His actual words were that I had a point "but Reading's good form was unexpected as Sunderland won the Championship the previous year and did badly".

for most of his piece he was just gushing about how great it was to see a big star like Alan Shearer in the studio. He didn't at any stage give the impression he'd even considered whether Shearer actually had anything to say.

I was advised last night that Roy Keane is set to become the new Pompey manager.
